Mr. Shigeru Okazaki welcomes you to his webpage.
This system was devised and constructed by Mr. Shigeru Okazaki of Midori-Ku in Nagoya, Japan. His intention was to utilize the rainwater that falls every year, in order to help conserve the local domestic water supplied by the Nagoya City Water Corporation. Japan's rainfall is usually quite substantial but global warming and changing weather patterns, extra pressure is now being placed on the water supplies for the area. This low cost, easy constructed type of rainwater gathering system can easily be used in almost any country which has the same shortage of water problems. Any ecologically minded person should consider this clever and simple proposal.
Introduction. Many variations of this system have been used over time, which uses the simple method of gathering rain water in tanks, containers or dams in order to conserve water that would otherwise just run off the roof, down the storm water drains. The amount of water that falls on the roofs of every town and city during the winter seasons and in time of storm activity, is incredible and should be harnessed and used and enjoyed for its convenience and pure taste. This story and idea is Mr. Okazaki's personal interpretation of how to go about this project. This project is the property of Mr. Shigeru Okazaki of Midori-Ku, Nagoya, Japan.
