Since this time, my son Peter's son Brett, has presented us with our first Great-Grand-Daughter, Shaily, and Pam has her first Grand-daughter Lolita, with a second on the way.... So a further next generation is well under way.

This picture is one of only a few pictures taken (1979) of the my immediate family before members started to go their way and seek their own direction in life. From the left are Dianne, myself, Peter (rear), Linda (front), Vera and Teresa. Myself, Vera and Peter all served in the Royal Aust. Navy, while Teresa served in the RAAF.

As time went on, they all got married. Teresa has 4 children, Kristy-Lee, Jarred, Jesse and David, Peter has 3 boys and 1 girl, Mark, Brett, Joshua and Ashley. Dianne has a boy and a girl, Christopher and Brooke, while Linda has 2 girls, Kaylee and Chelsea.

Finally, nearly 30 years later, we were able to get everyone together for a family picture.

Teresa visited from the USA so we had a great reunion.

In June 2004, we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. During that time we have enjoyed seeing our family grow up and move on. In June 2003, we were presented with our first Great-Grand-child, her name is Shaily and she is the daughter of Brett from Peter's first marriage, Brett and Kyra have since had a second child. Our second Great-Grand-child was born on 21st April 2005 to Brooke the daughter of Dianne our second eldest girl. Ethan was born in Rockingham, Western Australia and weighed in at a healthy 9.1 lbs. Lee, Peters eldest and Kylie has just presented a baby girl. Kristy-Lee and Justin are the proud owners of twin boys, Noah and Hunter as of 12th Aug 2006, so we now have a total of 6 Great-Grandchildren. Wow!!

The Thompson Family history is now 8 generations long, as far back as I have been able to research, up until this present day.

We hope in the future, more generations can be added to the history and that all the future members of this family enjoy good health and much happiness.
