Oz Beaches

Someone once asked me to include pictures of some of the beaches in Australia, now this is not an easy task, as the continent is really one long beach! No matter where you go around the perimeter of Australia, you will always find beautiful beaches. There are many, many beaches in secluded areas that have never been walked upon by the white man, the aboriginals maybe. Beaches such as Cable Beach in Broome Western Australia are over 32 miles long, having clean white expanses of sand and pristine blue/green water and if you are lucky, not a solitary soul in sight. Cable Beach was named because the underwater communications cable between Australia and Java in Indonesia was laid from this beach. I have included a few of the more well known beaches in Australia, so you can get an idea what they are like, but for space limitation reasons, only a few!!

This is Brighton Beach just south of the Melbourne UBD (seen in background), is very popular with the locals and city'ites.

Above is Swanbourne Beach in Perth Western Australia and above right, is Scarborough Beach, also in Perth. WA.

Most famous would be Bondi Beach in Sydney (above), but Manly Beach seen here at dusk, is very popular with the locals.
