Australia - Australians & Us.

                                                                         Welcome to my Website.

Hi there!! The object of this website is to help any interested parties to understand how Australia

came to be, who Australians are and the way they live their lives.

By following the hyperlinks you can discover where we are, how we came about. The historical link

explains about the country's discovery, how the first settlers arrived and eventually progressed

towards Federation and the forming of the individual states. It also outlines the hardships and

problems that occur when embarking on such an undertaking. The next link to Geographical gives an

idea of the size of the main continent, the states, and it also refers to the people who explored and

opened up this vast nation. There is also a section on the Flora, the Fauna, Birds, Reptiles and

Shipwrecks which are found here and some interesting facts about regarding them all. Go to the link

named 'Places in OZ' to see some of our beautiful cities around the country.

The section 'Us' referring to our family and the 'Interests' is a personal account which gives some

insight into how the Australian community has now evolved into what it is today. It shows what our

hobbies are, how we amuse ourselves, what we do in our spare time, which points out clearly that

Aussie's are much the same as anyone else.

This picture of the city of Perth, Western Australia was taken in mid-winter. We enjoy a very

moderate climate with mild winters but hot dry summers. The humidity is generally quite low and

comfortable. Usually by noon the sea breeze called the 'Fremantle Doctor' cools us all down.
